CHPA Annual 2022 Recap

Earlier this month the team and I headed down to Tampa for the Corporate Housing Providers Association’s (CHPA) annual conference. This was the first in-person CHPA Annual in two years, so it was really great to be back in person with everyone.

Attendance was good, even though it was right in the middle of a winter storm affecting a good portion of the country there were still 350 attendees, the exhibit hall had great foot traffic and the vibe was even better.  On the last day, Primestone sponsored a well-attended golf event.

With 3 days of jam-packed, informational sessions some of the big topics were:

  • How the corporate relocation industry is coping with the dual challenges of supply chain and the ongoing pandemic
  • How to combat personnel shortages in both the U.S. and in major overseas markets
  • Cybersecurity & risk management when it comes to vendor partners

As we heard at the WERC conference earlier in the year, supply chain, inventory issues and staff retention continue to be major challenges for clients everywhere. And the vendor community is devising creative solutions to address these issues. At Primestone, we’re working around supply chain and staffing issues to proactively solve problems before they arrive, so our guests aren’t affected by them.

Cybersecurity and vendor risk management was also a hot topic. Protecting your organization and your partners from cyberattacks is a serious issue in today’s market. Which is why we are proactive in our efforts to constantly update and evaluate our technology to provide the highest level of protection from adverse cybersecurity events that could impact our clients.

Overall, the conference was a huge success. We got to see old friends, share insights and even got to get out, enjoy the beautiful Tampa weather and tee-off at our golf event.
